I’m a vascular neurologist. I built Voicedoc because the calls that mattered most — the 2 AM stroke consults — kept arriving as voicemails missing the patient name, the MRN, or the callback. So I built software that won’t end the call until it has them.

A growing family of agents

Different calls deserve different agents.

Voicedoc isn’t one agent pretending to do everything. We build a purpose-built agent for each workflow your practice has — and we’re adding more every month.

Personal voicemail assistant

Your direct line, answered like a smart colleague. Knows the difference between a hospital consult and your sister calling about dinner.

  • Caller name + 10-digit callback verified
  • Patient + MRN + hospital captured
  • Distinguishes consults from personal messages
  • Notification in your pocket in under 10 seconds

After-hours receptionist

The full front desk, after dark. Triages, books, and transfers live to the on-call doctor when the call needs a human — without the script reader.

  • Triage rules per provider, per condition
  • Live transfer to the on-call doctor when needed
  • Pages on-call only when it should
  • Cuts answering-service cost by 70–90%

Consultation intake

For specialists. Knows what a stroke, GI, or renal consult needs — and won’t let the caller skip the parts you’ll ask about anyway.

  • Specialty-tuned question sets
  • Re-asks until the field is filled
  • Structured handoff: name, MRN, hospital, callback
  • One-page summary, ready to act on

Specialty intake · how it works

Voicedoc knows what a consult needs.

Built around the actual workflow of a specialist on call. Voicedoc enforces structured intake — the agent doesn’t end the call until it has the fields you’d ask for anyway.

Right-sided weakness, expressive aphasia. NIHSS 11. CT head negative for bleed. No tPA contraindications noted. Caller requesting urgent neuro consult — patient is currently stable.
01

It asks the right questions, in the right order

The intake template is configured per specialty. For a stroke consult, that’s name, MRN, last-known-well, NIHSS, imaging, contraindications. Voicedoc doesn’t end the call until the required fields are filled.

02

It re-asks until it’s sure

Names get spelled back. MRNs are verified digit-by-digit. Callback numbers are read back and validated as a full 10-digit US number — anything off and Voicedoc asks again. Politely, but it asks.

03

It hands off in a single page

You get a structured notification — SMS, email, or pager — within 10 seconds of the call ending. No more decoding voicemails at 2 AM to figure out who called.

04

It doesn’t pretend to be a doctor

Voicedoc never gives medical advice. It captures, it forwards, it triages — and when in doubt, it pages you. The clinical decision is always yours.

Practices on Voicedoc

Real practices. Real after-hours calls.

Our answering service was costing us about thirty-five hundred dollars a year and still missing the consults that mattered. Voicedoc replaced it on day one. We haven’t gone back.

For stroke consults, every minute matters. Voicedoc captures the patient name, the MRN, the hospital — without me having to call back to fish for them. Really streamlines my workflow.

vs the alternative

A voicemail, an answering service, and Voicedoc walk into a clinic.

The honest comparison. We’re not for every practice — we’re for the ones tired of paying for “human touch” that still misses the consult.

FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

Is this a real human or an AI?
It’s an AI voice agent. Voicedoc identifies itself as such on every call. We don’t pretend. Callers know they’re talking to software, and they almost universally prefer it to a script-reading answering service.
Is it HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. Voicedoc runs on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure with a signed Business Associate Agreement, end-to-end encryption, and a complete audit log of every call. We do not sell, share, or train on your call data.
What if it gets the patient name wrong?
Voicedoc spells back every name and verifies every MRN digit-by-digit before ending the call. If a caller is unclear, the agent re-asks. The structured summary always includes the original audio so you can verify any field in seconds.
Can it replace my answering service entirely?
For most specialty and primary-care practices, yes — that’s the After-hours Receptionist tier. Dr. Masood’s nephrology practice replaced theirs end-to-end on day one. Some practices keep a human service for overflow during peak hours; Voicedoc handles that gracefully too.
Does it work with my EHR?
Not yet — and we’re upfront about it. Today, Voicedoc delivers structured notifications directly to you (SMS, email, pager). EHR integration is on our roadmap, and if you tell us which EHR you’re on we can prioritize it. Talk to us about your workflow and we’ll move yours up the list.
What does setup look like?
Voicemail Assistant: 10 minutes. Forward your line, pick a specialty template, you’re done. Receptionist: 1–2 hours with our onboarding team to map triage rules and on-call schedules. Both tiers go live the day you sign up.
What’s included in the free trial?
14 days of full Voicemail Assistant access with up to 50 calls. No credit card required, no auto-conversion. If it doesn’t earn its place, you walk away.

Stop missing the call that mattered.

Forward your line tonight. Wake up tomorrow with every consult captured, structured, and waiting in your pocket.
